motor swap question

Just got a 85' crx for next to nothing. No motor in it. I was wondering what motor has most potential to go into the crx. Also, what else I needed for the swap ( motor mounts, etc. ) Any advice would be really appreciated. THANKS

Re: motor swap question

the best is a D16A1 (browntop) from an 86-87 Integra. It's got about 118hp i think. It's like a whole front end conversion - suspension, brakes, axles. but the good part is that it's a direct bolt in.

to know more, do a search.

alright its kinda of easy your best and easyest swap is the 86-87 or 88-89 integra d16a1. i myself have the brown top 87 teg motor what u will need is everything that connects to the ecu and motor (its easyer since u where carbinstead of splicing into to your old harness) ull need motor, trans, knuckles, axles, calipers, and while ur at it grab the rear brakes which are disc and ours are drums also grab the portion valve off the integra, and also the ebrake lines. yopur best bet is to get a whole integra and just swap some part off of it.

D16A1 into CRX-G1

This sounds interesting as I have an 87 CRX HF. Can someone who has done this comment on the wiring required, fuel line/tank/pump issues, etc. Gen 1 Integras are common in the pick and pull yards here in NorCal.

Thanks,

Partsnut(Ebay handle).
