Neon light mounting on plastic?
There's a panel above the rear window in my 1991 Nissan Kingcab pickup that I'm going to be mounting a 12" neon on... these neons have two plastic ends on them that are a few inches long, with the tube in between. What's the best method to secure the plastic bases of the neon to the plastic panel? It's on the roof basically, so the regular double sided tape squares that come with the neon won't do it.
Contact cement? Crazy glue? |

Re: Neon light mounting on plastic?
if you can remove the panel to make sure theres no wiring underneath you can use two 3/4in screws to secure the neons, thats what ive used on all my other installs and it works great. you can also tuck the wire underneath the panel so you dont have a wire hanging out.

Velcro works great. Get the industrial strength stuff at Wal-Mart. It's $5 for 5 feet. I use it on everything. It doesn't come off in the cold or heat and only takes seconds to put on or off.
