I'll vouch for the clay bars as well. Use it every couple months. It makes an amazing difference; especially the feel, it's buttery smooth after you claybar and wax.

OMG did WD-40 do the trick....

Thanks so much everyone, i went out today, hosed the car off. Then put wd40 on my finger to apply it to the tree sap spots, it literally melted off. Yesterday, it was impossible to get off with soap and my fingernail...the wd40 kicked ass.

Back to her shiney self.. BTW the thing i hate most about washing my car is the water spots if you don't dry it quick enough.. My trick, i leave the car wet....hop onto the highway which is a 1/2 mile away, and go one exit at like 70mph ....get off the highway, wipe the remaining water...

Though they sink through the sea
They shall rise again
Though lovers be lost love shall not
And death shall have no dominion.....

Re: Didn't Wash My Car For A while..Now It's Baaaaaad...HELP..!!

Heres my secret... I keep hosing the whole car down as I wash it to make sure no spots form, and then I use a chamois. As well as washing the car during a time when it isn't hot. I'd say about 75 is a good temp.

you just gotta learn the chamois technique. Wipe a kind of big spot all at once till the chamois is soaked and there are still runs of water left behind, ring out the chamois, and do that spot over again until it is perfect. Do one section at a time, and dont worry about the small streaks... they'll disappear.

i used to work at a place that had a detergent car wash stuff that'd take anything off.......so w/ the right soap you can even remove the paint!! Not funny....that actually happened on one of the work vehicles!!

Some liberally applied brake fluid should sort it out.
