88 fiero 2,5 ru'nn on 3

it's all about an 88 fiero 4 cil

ok we have good compresion on all 4 cil. between 150psi and 170 psi
head was done (valves, seats..........)
we have spark on plug wires
we put in a new injector
now the od........cil no 1 wound fire (pipe doesn't get hot, only litle warm), we swoped sparkplugs, wires, put on other igniton system

it's running on 3 cil and i don't know what i'm missing on this one.

gear head,
Welcome to AF!
did you say you swapped out the coil pack?
if not, this is where I'd start.
you have named all other components being new:
plug, wire, injector; and good compression as well! so at least it is not internal.
if not the coil pack, pull and have the ignition control module tested;
this will be mounted (I am pretty sure) directly below the two coil packs on the rear (facing trunk) of the engine. the ignition module is probably a $100-150. US Dollar cost, whereas the coil pack is only about $20-40 US Dollars.

hope this helps,
chris

were the valves cold lashed or hot lashed?
if the valve(s) aren't opening on the one cylinder in question, could be that. down side, valve cover has to come off; and you get oil all over new engine.
you said you swapped ALL ignition items, save the module, and usually, if a module is "intermittantly" bad, it has to be hot, engine warmed up, not cold. double check routing of the one plug wire to make sure not inducting crossfire in another hole.
vacuum leak would only throw idle... I wish you luck... I hate puzzles.

...pipe not hot, I'd have to say look at valves next.

hope this helps,
chris
