Angry Problem with my Keyless entry

Last night I didnt close my door all the way on my 97 Monte Carlo so my lights stay on and this morning my battery was dead. So I charged it up then I noticed my Keyless entry remote didn't work anymore, I thought it was just the battery so I bought a new one and still nothing. Then I tried my other remote and nothing. So then I tried reprogramming the remotes like 20times and still nothing. I need help. What do you guys think could be wrong with them? How could I fix it? I really don't want to take it back to the dealer. Thanks
