2005 Yukon XL Upgrade to Nav System

I have an 05 Yukon XL with the factory single disk player and cassette. I have read many posts and I do not have the bose system so I guess I dont have the Y91 code. I did not see it in my glovebox. I found a Navigation radio P/N 15108421 that is out of an 04 that says it is not a LUX right??. I know that I would have to buy the GPS antenna to go with it but besides that would this just plug into my stock radio plug and work as normal with the steeriing wheel controls/ onstar etc???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Odin Munson

Hmm, another XL. Got a big family do we? Anywho, go to http://www.jpcustoms.com

That should tell you all you need. I think the GPS module actually rests on top of the dash. Mines like a little plastic bubble.

Good luck.

Re: 2005 Yukon XL Upgrade to Nav System

Thanks for the site. That is a lot of money to pay although it seems as if it is the copmplete system. I can get the radio for about $500 P/N 15108421 (NON LUX) and then all I would have to do is buy the antenna. the radio comes with the disk so I could do this set up for about $600 if this is the right radio. Just scared to spend the $$ if it is not the right radio.

Keep in mind the 04 Nav system is not touch screen. The little joy stick is a real pain to use...
