Put Aftermarket CD player in and has no sound!!!!

On 1998 Chrysler Town&Country, I remove the Stock CD player and installed an Aftermarket CD player and I can see the CD player is runing but nothing comes out of Speakers.
I used Scosche Stereo Wiring Harness, all connections are good, everything is connected,
There is a red connector with 2 wire comes out of the radio that not connected,it looks like Antitheft Wire ??? I thought that for the radio itself.
Anything on Antitheft????

Thanks

Mai

Verify your wiring is correct , go to the following site and verify your wiring is correct. Also make sure the ground wire that was connected to the back of the original unit is connected tot he new stereo chassis.

If your van had the infinity factory system, you will need to ground the amp so you can get sound. There was a wire connected to the back of the factory radio with a female connector. Make sure you ground it to the new radio or a solid metal suface. You should get sound after that. If that doesn't work, cut the speaker wires on the harness and take a 9 volt battery and touch the wires to the terminal, positve to positive and neg to negative, you shoud hear sound comming out from the speaker. The battery test may not work however if the factory amp is not grounded. Hope this helps. Also, if you have a small speaker somewhere, hook it up to the radio to see if you get sound. Double check everything and take your time. Good luck!

Does that red wire that splits into two wires have a fuse connector on it? What type of radio is it. I use to install car audio. Maybe I can help.

Re: Put Aftermarket CD player in and has no sound!!!!

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the infos.
It is the Infinity factory system, I grounded wire connected to the back of the factory radio with a female connector to a good ground, I double check all connections,
You guys mentioned an Amp, where is the Amp located ?? how to ground it??
Any other info would be greatly appreciated

that wire you grounded should have been the one to the amp. Do you know if you have the remote wire hooked up. Sometimes it is labeled as power attenna on the factory harness and it's a blue wire comming from the new radio, sometimes is has a fuse on it. Make sure that is hooked up to. This is a wire that carries power to a switch on the amp. It turns the amp on and off when the radio is turned on and off. Hope this helps.
I don't know where the amp is...my guess is under the passenger side kick panel.

Re: Put Aftermarket CD player in and has no sound!!!!

You are correct, the Blue w/red stripe is the on/off for the Amp, I left it off because it called power anttenna and I do not have power anttenna,
All working good now,
Thanks you all for your help.(drumman2112 )
PS. when I connected the Blue/Red i heard a click in the Driveside kick panel (Hood Release) that must be the Amp location.
