ac problems - 92 grand marq.
if im low on refrigerant shouldnt my compressor be short cycling. yesterday the thing quit cooling and the compressor wont kick in at all. i suspect it has a refrig. leak . any body have any advice? the people i got it from had the system repaired in the spring of 04 .i can see newer lines and newer compressor and a new looking condenser coil and dryer also. i was thinking this ac would be good for a few years but i guess not. thnaks for looking

Take it into a shop and have them evacuate the system. When they evacuate it, they can tell you if you have a leak. They put the system in a vacuum and if the vacuum goes down then you have a leak. And it shouldn't be too expansive.
