I have no exhaust!

I f***** up my exhaust. I cut off my resonator,and tried to put a pipe there with clamps and liquid weld(I know,very stupid)but I was bored. So now I have an open pipe with my cat and back just hanging there,which fell and was scraping so I had to tie it up with a hanger.It is sooo damn loud I dont even wanna drive it. I guess I'll take it too a shop and get a pipe welded up,but even then I think it'l be really loud.Or should I get the resonator welded back up. This was the stupidest thing I have ever done and I dont know what I was thinking,but atleast I have a reason to save up for an SLP.

Changing your exaust system could effect the back pressure the car was designed to have. This might require a custom calibration of the critical controls such as feul delivery and transmission interface timing.
Unless you have the diagnostics and the knowlege of how to retune your car you should get it put back the way it was.

Removing / straightpiping the resonator is a great, cheap mod. Have a pipe welded in at a local shop; it shouldn't cost you more then 30-ish dollars. And no, it won't be loud. Over stock, with mine removed it was a little meaner sounding when I got on it, but it wasn't "loud" all the time by any means.

yea I tend to stay away from doing things like that to mine... the other day I removed and put back a door panel .. and thats about the most taken apart ill ever go on mine

Right now,it is so loud.Me and my friend tried puting on a straight pipe like I said before, but he accidentally cut the stock pipe on an angle and then we went to autozone(the pipe was too small)so we tried a flex pipe but it didnt work cuz it came off cuz when the exhaust fell.Even with that it was still really loud,but it wasnt welded(clamps and undried liquid weld,lol)I guess I'll get a straigt pipe welded up,but I hope its not too loud.

I guarantee you it won't be too loud. If your exhaust is stock, removing your resonator won't make it too loud. And yes, I would just take it too a shop and have them do it right. 30$ later and you'll be happy, with no issues.

What if I dont like the way it sounds? I still have the stock resonator,maybe I could have them put that back on.Does any one havea sound clip of the resonator removed? Theres one on exhaustsoundclips.com but I am unable to download it.

Yes you could have them put it back on. But I'm going to tell you with complete confidence: if you trust me or not is up to you - you'll like it. It doesn't sound "ricey" or "too loud" or anything. It just sounds a little bit meaner when you step on it. It brings out only positive aspects of your exhaust.

As far as finding a sound clip online, they're probably far and few because it's not even worth making one. It's not like using a different exhaust system or a muffler, where you're going to notice a big difference in sound at idle or anything. With the resonator removed, at idle, the only difference is noticed behind the car, with your head low, within 3 feet of the exhaust tips. You notice a slight little "tap tap tap" that actually sounds like a little mini-cam. It sounds good. The most audible difference in noticeable under WOT or very close. It just sounds meaner.

I don't have any exhaust either on my TA right now.

I would avoid SLP man. They are overpriced and have the worst customer service.

Mr.Luos,that is one badasss ws6. My friend had a red 2000,but he flipped it. My car is so loud right now,because there is just an open pipe,then a space where the resonator was,then the cat and back.It doesnt sound good either because its not like its a v8,but it def doesnt sond like a 4 cyl.Actually,just a little while ago I put a flex pipe on with clamps(temporarily),and used coat hangers to keep my exhaust from falling off. Pretty ghetto,lol
