88 bronco II not starting
ok so ive got plenty of fuel, but when i check for spark off the coil wire the only time it sparks is when the person turning the key lets go, ill get two sparks as it is stopping cranking. during cranking no spark at all.
HELP????? thanks, confused and sitting still |

Sounds like the ignition module (TFI module ) is toast. It's located on the side of the distributor.

I checked one I have for a different model Ford, and it explains in detail how to check the module and stator with a test light and a ohm meter. TFI modules are not too expensive if you go aftermarket. I prefer Ford OEM parts, but aftermarket will work fine. |

no it will not run without the tfi did it run like crap before it wouldnt start like sputtring jerking like that and the tfi is a bitch to change if you have the 2.9
