Braves vs. Astros, 18 INNINGS!!

i'm watching sports center right now and they are recapping the Braves Astros game today. as bored as i get watching baseball i would have loved to watch this game. i don't know if i could actually watch it for the 5 and some odd hours that it lasted. quite a few remarkable happenings, first post season game with 2 grand slams.

I did. It was amazing. I love watching long games in almost any sport. I remember in the NHL a couple years ago Dallas vs Anahiem that went into like 4 OTs. Those games are just all intense in OT and fun to watch.

yeah that was a crazy game. It was like playing 2 full games. And the Rocket comes in for 3 innings at the end for the win!

I did and I was standing up from Berkman's 8th inning slam till the end of the game. I am so excited about the win. My parents were at the game and said it was amazing. Now I just have to find away to have one of them stay home so I can go to one of the games vs the Cardinals.

Also two other factoids:
1st post season game with 2 grand slams
Longest post season game ever.

Doesn't matter, Cardinals would have beaten whoever made it to the NLCS.

thats so sick... I wish I could have been at the game. The longest game I ever saw in person was 13 innings.

played in a connie mack game when i was a junior in hs that was similar.. went 13 innings in a game that was originally supposed to go 7.. ended up winning 3-2..

Oh i really dont care, not a big cards fan myself, but you can't deny how good they are. They can get by with an OK pitching rotation because their hitters are just so dominant, and their fielding is exceptional. I really dont care who wins though as long as the Whitesox make it and and beat whoever is there.

i'm sad that the Braves were eliminated, but that was a helluva way to go out. And yes, they would have gotten handled by the Cards.

Last year (18) i was in a rec. league (kinda for fun, i also play amature ball at the same time). For our championship game we went 16 innings and we only play 7. Was by far the best game i have ever played in.

Yeah, my team did win. It got pretty intense and the other coach got tossed for argueing. I was playing short with 2 out bases loaded and went to make a play on a grounder. I ended up leveling the kid running from second to third when i was going to the ball and he was called out for interfearance(sp?) and the inning was over. Their coach flipped out at the call (which was the right call btw) he got tossed and we ended up winning in the next inning.
