92 gp aftermarket tach

hey all i cant seem to find where to hook up the green wire for the tach.. my car is the 3.1L V6 and i would appriciate some help here

is the green wire on your aftermarket tach the reference signal wire?

yes it is.. i cant find where to splice it in, ive tried the distrubtor signal plug but that didnt work.. so im not sure where
