Good to know about your alarm

For those of you with Intrigues with the factory alarm and don't have a disarm button mounted on the interior this is for you.

In the event that you set your car alarm off without having your keypad on you, or if your keypad no longer works this is what you do.

step one.

1. Get in the car and open the drivers side window and pop the hood, take key out of ignition


2. Disconnect the battery


3. Shut ALL doors, and put the key in the ignition through the window and turn it to the on position, make sure all doors are still shut


4. Reconnect the battery

5. After there is power, the red light on the dash should not be blinking, press it into valet mode (double flash) Now you're in the clear

Important things to remember, key cannot be in the on position while the battery is disconnected, doors cannot be opened at all during the entire process until the end.

I had to drive 30 miles to a place where my transmission is being repaired and show the mechanic how to shut off my alarm, cuz i don't have the keypad anymore.
