1992 Golf GL - - BRAKES!
The brakes on my 1992 Golf GL are quite soft.
They'll stop me, but i generally have to press down really hard. If i draw the brake pedal back and depress it again its OK, like normal. If i was forced to describe it, i would say that it feels like there is an air bubble in the line... Incidentally, I had the rear brakes bled, and that didnt help. Someone told me to replace the master cylinder. Someone different told me to bleed the front brakes. Not sure where to go with this one. I just need my car to stop when i say so. |

Re: 1992 Golf GL - - BRAKES!
If the pedal comes back to rest position by itself (not pulling it back up with your foot) & you just have to pump once to get a firm pedal then the rear adjustment may just be out.

Just one pump. Pedal returns to rest position. Is a 'rear adjustment' something thats best left to a professional? |
