Re: 95 BLAZER stalling-not starting. HELP!

ok...i gave it a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter) that smoothed out the idle and it was running good.
checked pressure again and it was the same.
no washing in the plenum.
it has been running good until it suddenly stalled twice when i was out driving. it then restarted. when i got home i backed into my driveway and could hear a loud whining noise just before it stalled agian.
restarted it and it seems the continuous noise is coming from the gas tank.
this must be the pump right?

Yup, time for a new pump.

Re: 95 BLAZER stalling-not starting. HELP!

only place this truck is driving me is CRAZY!!!!

i replaced the fuel pump (and what a job it was for me. never again.) replaced strainer,ac-delco pump, fuel filter. put it all together replaced tank etc. NO START!
checked pressure and it's at like 5 psi...nothing.
then out of the blue it starts an hour later and runs ok. (just like before) checked pressure with ignition in the "on" position. i hear the pump and it goes to 60 and drops to about 58 then it gradually just trickles down to nothing eventually. does that mean there is a leak in the cpi? i paid a mechanic $750. to replace the fuel injection unit with a new one. maybe he did'nt do the nut kit.
i looked in the plenum but did'nt detect any washing.
this has got to be one of the nuttiest nightmare vehicles anybody has ever owned.
somebody save me.

Re: 95 BLAZER stalling-not starting. HELP!

Pull the upper plenum and check for washing. You should hold the same pressure for at least 15 mins... I saw your message at s10forum and also replied there.
