Re: Eighties Contest Entry: 1980 Ford Zakspeed Capri Gr:5

Oops, sorry about that Chief. Wasn't paying attention. Curbside is for models without engines. Guess you need to be moved to the full detail category then.

No not rude at all. It must be becuase I was thinking of building this kit for the comp, making it quick, easy and curbside. So I had a chance of finishing it in time. Still undecided if I'll enter and if so what it will be.

I think you should build it.. its a VERY fun kit to build.. even though its meant to have an real toy motor in the back I think its fun.. cause its so much to scratchbuild so I´m just happy with this one..
Good luck on your deciding

Re: Eighties Contest Entry: 1980 Ford Zakspeed Capri Gr:5

Bobble83: I dont know where to get it.. I will use a Lancia 037 Abarth engine with a new top where it says Zakspeed...

Ask Kurtl.. He knows

A fair bit of progress

Open the hood and made som smaller thing

open the trunk

and my scratchbuilt front frame for the engine.. Hope you see it clear enough to make a judgement...

Happy building to everyone out there

Re: Eighties Contest Entry: 1980 Ford Zakspeed Capri Gr:5

Engine from Monogram Mustang IMSA car is the same as it was a re-bodied Capri built by Zakspeed. In fact the whole chassis fits the Capri body with little work and makes a big improvement. Easier than scratchbuilding!
