New Owner Question

hello again...well i went and did it, i now own a 95 suzuki swift, for better or for worse...not perfect but the price was right, it drove home OK..unfortunately it has the 1.3 litre 4 cylinder which seems fine except that i really want to get in the 40's mpg...i expect this engine will get me somewhere in the mid 30's...is this about right?

i noticed that the oil and air filters are the same 1.3 vs 1.0, might this mean that an engine swap will be nearly painless? not now but someday

rust issues, a bit here and there, but for the price i can droive it a few years and go from there, what matters is that i am on the right track, i like the dual airbags of the 95...what are the bad points of the 85 suzuki?
Thanks..Mark
