my cousin who is 21 is now a proud owner of a 1997 gst. me and him are going to miami beach in 2 weeks to pick it up. the only downfall is its an auto. he is very mechanically inclined and went to school to be a mechanic so weare gonna convert it to a 5 speed and a GSX so we both got our work cut out for up.

Have fun wasting thousands of $$$. With all the money used on making it AWD and stick shift, he could be running low 12's.

true, but to each his own. usually when you're mechanically inclined, it's sometimes more fun to make it yourself than buy it, it's just that much more fun to drive and have in general. knowing how much of a waste of money it is to put a 4g63 in a 420a, i might just do it anyways because i have the abilities and everyone says no don't no don't, it's easier to just buy one...but i already have a gst and a tsi awd so putting a 4g63 in a 420a would be quite fun. it's not for sure yet, but i have a 4g63 motor and tranny laying around in an extra car so why not do the conversion? it'll be rare and cool. sometimes there's more to life than just money.

theres already a 4g63 engine in it and he can get all the parts from the same guy he bought the car from for 1200 bucks with trans and everything.
