Angry Everyone here needs to take a field trip over to 3si.org

All the time i find threads on here where speculation and misinformation is thrown about for weeks on end, when deffinitive answers can be found over on 3si.org. i realize they require a real email address to search and post, but call your isp, i bet you can get a real one. and for petes sake, search google now and then, thats how ive learned what i know about these cars, which surprisingly is more than some of the moderators here. No offense, but theres good info on the web, and its easy enough to spot the B/S.

its just frustrating to see ppl throwing jusnk info at the newbies who honestly dont know, but to all the newbies out there, like i said, try google too.

that is true but with out all the newbie questions and repeat questions this forum wouldn't be very active at all.

i agree. so please think about what you say before you put down this forum. everybody has to start somewhere with questions about cars. automotiveforums.com appears as a friendly and open environment in which (hopefully) nobody is intimidated to ask an honest question, however young they are in their car knowledge. I think our FAQ sticky thread is more comprehensive and organized than many threads on 3si.org. this rather small community is the reason for that...and also thanks to our awesome moderators (Igovert500, YoungVR4, and Yogs).

i think most would agree that when it comes to parts for the 3/S, the Parts for Sale section on 3si is an invaluable resource. however, there are many other websites with equally valuable resources (www.car-part.com and www.stealth316.com just to name a few). We proudly do the best we can over here to answer any questions that anyone might have. and sometimes when we don't have the answers, we go look them up on 3si.org and reference it with a link.

so yes, sometimes information can be thrown around that's not entirely correct, or rather its not entirely explained according to its purpose and application. but i think our aforementioned FAQ section provides some great answers to many beginners' questions. all i'm saying is that we should support this community and encourage newbie's to ask questions.
