regarding buying a prelude..help

alright, so i just sold my 1996 mitsubishi eclipse, and im lookin to buy a 91-96 honda prelude, and this might sound a lil vague, but what mileage is decent for a prelude..im finding a lot of them in the 100k mile region, and i know its a honda, but whats the average mileage on a honda before it runs to shit? any help would be appreciated, thank you a lot.

Re: regarding buying a prelude..help

My '96 has 160k and it's still running strong - as long as it is cared for with oil changes and regular maintenance I'd guess around 200k+.

Yeah, over 200K miles is pretty common with good maintenance, but i'd try to fine something with around 100K.

Re: regarding buying a prelude..help

3-5k is a good price if the car is in good condition. You're probably talking about an Si, if your looking at a VTEC expect to pay around 6k.

If you're talking about a VTEC for 3-5k that's an excellent price.
