Electrical Problem

The "Service Engine" light just came on in my 2000 4 cyl auto. Turn signals don't work, the shift lock won't disengage (stuck in park), and it's very sliggish all of the sudden. I can get it out of park but I risk breaking something.

Fuses under the dash and in the engine compartment are all ok. Any ideas? Anyone expereince anything like this?

apparently there is a trouble code stored in the computer......find the code and that is your problem. either buy a cheap scan tool from advance auto or else take it somewhere to retrieve the code.

Finally

Problem was the neutral safety switch. Had lots of problems finding a new one. Wound up taking it apart and cleaning it...so far no problems!
