Extreme newbie needs help determining why dome light & lights under dash will not go off with no key in ignition and all doors shut. Chime does stop when key in ignition and doors are closed. I have checked dome light override switch & it is off.
Started suddenly (just as soon as I decided to sell it). Have had to remove fuse to keep battery from runing down. Is there anything under the hood that I should look at? I know nothing about switches/relays but can follow directions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!! |

Re: Dome Light help (from extreme newbie)
Sounds like you mite have a either a faulty door switch contact, or a grounded wire in your lighting. I would first check the door switches. They have been known to break on the inside.

Re: Dome Light help (from extreme newbie)
I know this may sound simple but did you check the glass hatch to see if it was closed?

Also check to make sure the cargo light switch isn't turned on. I didn't realize my 95 had one since the light came on automaticly when the rear glass was opened. I took a box out and the light never went out till I finally looked to see if it had a manual switch on it. It should be located next to the light itself.
