I have a 01" mustang V6 automatic can I by different gears and should I?

Well it's not in the trasnmission, but the read end. So yes, you can buy and have someone install a different ratio ring and pinion gear.

yea its the rear end not the transmission. and i would definatly recommend 4.10 gears
