Replacing Battery Cables

I recently decided i was going to replace my old corroded cables with some nice new 1ga ones. I'm replacing the positive, negative, and trani ground cable. I already replaced my engine ground with some 4ga so i don't have to worry about that. What i'm wondering is if doing this will affect performance in any way? I'm putting in an ignition amp and some 8mm spiro sparkplug wires within the next week. so what can i expect?

Re: Replacing Battery Cables

so i switched to the 1ga for ALL cables and i have to say i do notice a difference in pickup. I got my ignition amp today and will install it tomorrow. I'm still waiting for my wires to get here though.

One question, should i keep my Champion spark plugs or get some Bosch platinums or something?

added: i've decided on some bosch platnum 2's

i can't wait!
