Buy extended warrenty or not?

Hello Auto Gurus,

I have a 2001 Lexus ES300 with about 30,000 miles on it. So far I have not had any problems with the car. I am looking for pros and cons of buing an extended warrenty on this car (4yrs - 100000 miles? Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Jitender

Cool

The most reliable car on Earth. Not normally needed if you actually do ALL of the maint. on time...

I'd rather you spend $10 on techinfo.toyota.com & download every factory repair manuals the actual Lexus/Toyota mechanics use to service your car.

If it floats your boat to buy it go for it. Just make sure it's a good price. Face it... If you change the oil every 5,000 miles, & flush the transmission fluid on time, you should get 200,000m + out of both.
