94 camry

ok ok ok i need to know if this is a good deal or not?...........this guy at my work is selling me his 1994 toyota camry from $2500 to $3000 tops. It has 107,000 miles on it, it rides pretty good........can handle itself at high speeds.i dont see anything wrong with it yet. the only problem is the axle broke on his right wheel so it makes some sort of clicking sound sometimes, but hes getting that fixed before he sells it to me......hmm the car also has a stereo system and rims....all in all its in ok condition.

Re: 94 camry

Go to KBB.com and go to the used car section. Click on private party pricing and fill in the necessary information. That should give you a better idea of what it is worth.

Cool

fwd axles are cheap. Don't replae just the outer CV joint, for nearly the same cost, go a head & replace the entire half-shaft.

2500-3000 is descent depending on the condition. Take the vin & call toyota to see if any maint records are on file.

Keep in mind you've got the big service due basically now. (120,000 miles)
Timing belt, idler pulleys/tensioner, accessory belts, water pump, plugs, first required fuel filter change. Might as well change the cam & crank seals & possibly the valve cover gaskets before they start leaking while the parts are accessable.

Expect to want to buy new o2 sensors within the next couple of years. The main o2 sensors & the cat convertor normally get 100-150,000m on them before they're not useful, or bad.
