Angry Prelude starting problem

Just bought a 92 Prelude Si, runs great when it starts! About every four or five starts it just turns over as if starved for gas. Electronic? Fuel pump? Any suggestions appreciated!

There has'nt been any pattern, it occurs randomly. After a long drive and both hot and cold starts. Nice Pic my Prelude is also white, no accessories yet though until i can keep it running!!!!

Re: Prelude starting problem

I posted on my prelude issue. But I'm sure that it is a little different them mine. We're still trying to kinda figure it out but pretty sure that we found it. Umm....did you try cleaning injectors and all that stuff? Do you put high test gas in it?

I had a problem like that in the hot weather,, it was the main relay...about 40 bucks for the part. Its a pretty common problem.

Re: Prelude starting problem

sounds like the main starter relay.....that's what we think the problem is on my prelude. 90 si...the main relay is probably your best bet...if not it could be the ignition control module under the hood on the firewall. that would be another possiblitly...
