b20/vtec

i have a 91 honda civic si with a b20/vtec swap, i bought the car with the motor, it has a GSR head but a b16a ecu....just curious but shouldnt it have gsr ecu or does it matter? all i ask is for some advice...cuz the car doesnt seem like it runs as strong as it should because i lose to b16a hatch's like mine........The motor has a skunk2 intake monifold, jg cams, jg cam gears, type r pistons gsr rods, aem cold air intake dc headers....stage 4 clutch,(not sure what brand), but any advice on making this motor perform its best is apreciated, and if there is anyone that is from southern california that now of good shops to go to please let me know

are you sure the motor has all of those things. how can it have a b20 block with type-r pistons? the b20 block has a 84mm bore and type-r pistons are 81mm. find out what you reallt have first.

damn i didnt think about that...maybe i was just lied to...LOL. well if it just has stock internals....its not putting the power it should.....well im a rookie at this stuff........but i want to learn more

well, juss in case you should check the block to see if it even is a b20

A good tune will help you, cuz all the bolt on crap will help alot more when you Wideband or tune to optimize your fuel to creat more power. i got a P28 Mugen chip if you want to buy.
