Oil pressure gauge

If anyone can help i would sure appreciate it. I'm having a problem with the oil pressure gauge, It reads nothing after my truck has sat out in the sun all day. In the morning time when it has cooled down everthing work great. I just noticed today though that it was doing something different it was all the way up while driving in town. I'm sure sure what could be causeing this but if anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David Billiott

1) Possibly a bad connection to the sending unit.

2) Possibly a bad sending unit.

3) Guage or wiring problem

4) Actual oil pressure fluctuation. Don't want to go there.

5) ???

Do you happen to know where the sending unit is located? I've never had a problem like this before and don't have any experience with the parts.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know for these vehicles. Usually on the side of the block for most vehicles.

Anyone else know?
