I have a question I feel stupid asking it though. What is the differenc3e between a supercharger and a turbocharger. Which one is better. Thanks for any help.

A turbo charger uses your exhaust to turn a turbine which in turn allows air to flow at a much, much higher velocity into your air intake. A super charger does the same thing, but uses a belt to attach itself to the engine. A turbo uses less energy from the engine, but gets real hot, because it uses old exhaust. Both need intercoolers and a somewhat compatable engine system. Compatable meaning tougher metal inside the engine is needed. I maybe wrong. Correct me if I am, but thats what I hear. Between them both, a turbo is somewhat better. I hear from a car guru, a NOS system is better and alittle less damaging for a Grand Am.
