Hawk Pads and slotted rotors

I just put on that great deal with Hawk Pads and Powerslot rotors. However there is this loud noise every time I drive my car and brake coming from my rear rotors. Has anyone else had this problem? I guess I have heard from some people that the Hawk pads are kind of loud. The kid that did my brakes said they just have to get worn in a little, but it is awful loud to me. IF it doesn't go away in a week I am going to bring my car back to him. Just curious if anyone else with these pads and rotors has had similar problems.

when does it happen? when you are driving or only when you are breaking?

when i first put mine on, i had a grinding noise for a little while, then it went away.

Did you properly seat the pads?

Well I assume he properly seated the pads. I took it to this lady I work with and had her son put them on. I hear a loud noise when I am driving and braking. It is just coming from the back and not the front. If it continues the rest of the week I am going to have the kid check them.

i would give him a call and make sure that he seated the pads. let him know that you are not mad, you just need to know so you can do it if he didn't(so that he will be more likely to tell you the truth). i know that mine grinded for a few days even though i seated them good.
