Just bought a 2002 durango, it has 35000 miles on it's 4.7 L, it runs like a champ. just noticed that door locks (auto) quit, headlamps won't go on, horn honks on its own, interior lights are out and the dingers don't ding. I disconnected the battery and all works fine but it only lasted for a short time. Anyone else have this problem and got it solved?

My durango goes crazy also. The locks click continusley till i was about ready to go off a cliff. I unpluged one of the conections to what I think is the ECM on the drivers side behind a panel. Helped with the locks but now the interior lights dont work. Was a fair trade

You are on the right track. The computer you refer to behind the drivers kick panel is called the CTM or Central Timing Module. It is a dealer item, and typically runs around $300 for the part, and another $200 for installation and programming.

They will need to have all of your key fob remotes as these have to be programmed into it.

Benn there and done that on my previous 2001 SLT. It is a well known issue on the Gen 1 D's.
