94 lhs - ignition and fuel issues starts and drives intermidentlly

the car
94 chrysler lhs
3.5
auto tranny
152k miles
piece of s__t

I got the car a year ago already i despise it. sadly ive only driven for a few months alltogether.

first i had a strange issue with the rack n pinon buyers beware.
after replacing the rack twice and soon to be the tie rod ends.
knowing the tranny has maybe 5k left on it

the car decides one day its done starting. been running pretty well for a couple of months then nothing.

so heres the deal. i replaced the fuel pump, and the crank sensor, to no avail, it looks like a computer issue at this point. when i turn the key i can listen and hear the fuel pump kick on or not. if it does car starts if not i dont even get ignition fire. sounds like a crank sensor i know.

when it does start and i drive it, she cuts out completly pretty often.
i then get to slow down with no power brakes or steering and hope to find a place to sit and try to start the car again.

this car was taken from blueprint to showroom in 18 months. i think they should have spent a little more time in the drawing room.

ps any thoughts on this situtation?

in addition to a possible bad crank sensor, your cam sensor could be acting up as well. But if it stalls on you while driving, that's definetly a bad crank sensor.

turned out to be a combination of the computer and probally either a short in the wire leading to the ignition coil or the coil itself. I havent got that little sputter out quite yet, but I'm finally getting some codes again and the fuel pump kicks on every time now, therefore the car again starts normally.

computer was an easy enough job though, lol, i wish the whole proccess could have been as painless
