BMW M5 speedo

My speedo has stopped working in my M5, Any ideas what a common fault is on the car. The counter don't work either so it kind of points to the head but as its an electric one is there a relay or fuse somewhere that could be the fault, Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You need a new instrument cluster. That is if your M5 is a E39. If its an earlyer model then it might be something else
