Whats it stand for?
What does GL stand for? I know what SE, SES, SEL, stands for. but somebody ask me the other day what it meant I said maybe grand luxury , but I have a contour GL also, cant imagine it being considered grand luxury. also just this morning I seen a Taurus LE,,,,never seen one before. Guess it stands for Limited Edition. thanx to whom can answer the GL question.

the base edition of the taurus was once simply the Taurus G (no clue what the G stood foor), and the GL was an upgraded version of the G, including power windows and locks and floormats and stuff like that. So i guess it could be considered the luxurious version of the G.
