This it?

. Close all the vehicle doors.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Press and hold the door unlock switch.
4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
7. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
9. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

Easy as pie!

Tryed this but it does not go into program mode. Still need help.
I closed all the doors, inserted key, pushed and continued to hold the unlock button on the door while I turned the key on, off, on and back off. When I released the unlock button nothing happened. pushing the lock and unlock button on the remote does nothing. Still the remote does not work. Is there another switch somewhere that I don't know about?

Are you sure you have keyless entry on your 03 S10? What FCC remote are you using?

Yes it has keyless entry. One remote works but the other one was lost. Purchased one from the internet with the same numbers as the original.

Can't get in the program mode.

The battery in the remote fob is fine. Just can't get the truck in the program mode. I saw on another year (1999) something about a vanity switch. do you know if this applies to the 2003 and if so where is it located. Thanks

I bought a truck that only came w/ one FOB so I bought a spare key FOB from ebay and was starting to have my doubts about using ebay when it didn't come come with the instructions as promised. I searched and searched google for free programming instructions and didn't have any luck until I stumbled upon this site. These instructions worked flawless on my '98 ZR2 w/ factory keyless entry. I printed these instructions out, walked out to the truck and within a min. or less I had a new programmed remote. I made sure the FOB I purchased from ebay had all the same numbers before buying it...which is probably which most don't think to do before they buy.

Make sure the remote you purchase has matching numbers and these instructions will work. At least it did on my '98 S10 truck. Thanks a bunch!
