Change engine oil message appeared. Have changed oil, but message still come on. How to reset? We do not have an owners manual, so we cannot reference that.

Re: Change engine oil message
Check your owners manual. It usually is reset by holding in a button for a certain period of time if it's like other vehicles.

Re: Change engine oil message
On some Chevrolets you reset this message by turning the ignition switch to the run position with the engine off. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. The CHANGE ENGINE OIL indicator will flash for five seconds to notify the driver the system has been reset. On some models there may be a reset switch on the fuse panel.

Re: Change engine oil message
On mine (2004), I cycled through the trip meter readings (Trip-A, Trip-B, Oil) until I got to "oil" which was at zero. I held the button in for about 10 seconds, until it reset back to 100. The reset time is longer than the trip readings, so you don't accidentally reset the oil minder instead of trip miles.

Re: Change engine oil message
If you check GM's TechLink, it lists the oil life monitor reset procedures in some of the archived issues....lots of other good info in there as well....
