1998 intrigue steering rack recall CANADA????????????????????????????????????????

I am aware of the recall for the steering rack in the USA.but am wondering what if anything,will be done on these in Canada.Is anyone familiar with this in Canada???I called oldsmobile in canada and she just stated that any recalls would be sent to the original owners for which i cannot get hold of because of privacy act.

thanks panzer for that link.the trouble is that it states "certain vehicles".when i called olds here in canada they asked for my vin # and replied that there is no recalls on that particular car.what gives.am i being BSed all the way to the bank or what????????????????

yeah, I think you may be getting screwed on this one. I can't find a VIN range for the problems. I would call the U.S. 1-800 number and act American and see what they say.

As Intrigue owners we get screwed on the flasher recall that doesn't consider the Intrigue either even though it's the same part.
