Charcoal Canister Location/Replacement

I have diligently looked for the answer to this question on many BMW boards and have not found a satisfactory answer.

1995 525i sedan approx. 105K miles

I have a stong gasoline smell on occasion durring the summer and nearly every morning durring the winter. Based on what I have read it must be the charcoal canister. I purchased on from Bavauto and now I can't find the damn thing

I have the Bently manual but it barely references the canister...

Can you all please help me? Whenever my wife gets in the car I have to hear about it. It makes her sick etc...

Please post a guide (preferably with pictures) on how to locate and replace this scourge of my life.
