A/C issue

Anyone here ever have their refrigerant start leaking out from the vents in the car. I mean you can actually see this little powdery residue just seeping out while the a/c is off, and when you actually turn the a/c on, it just starts pumping out this refrigerant type powder all over the place. The a/c also doesn't smell right, it's got this distinct smell to it, can't really describe it. Recently got my expansion valve and receiver dryer replaced but still see the same problem. No probs with fans, so that's already ruled out. The a/c itself isn't that cold either and I know it's not a refrigerant issue, cause I just added some as well...so I don't know wth is going on. Any ideas of where the problem lies? Thanks in advance

Re: A/C issue

sounds like the evaporator may be cracked... I'd pull out the dash and check it out.
