Re: It's A Good Thing I Didn't Race....

Yep...Nissan's VQ series of engines are the best V6 engines out there...period.

Pfft, I wish :|

With a 3.4" pulley, exhaust and intake I ran a 14.6. Bonnevilles can be made fast, but it's harder because they weigh more than a GTP/Regal. I need to take mine out since I had it cammed, I might be able to hit 13s with a good launch. Then run it again when I get headers (yeah yeah I know cammed but no headers..) and a 3.2" pulley.

I bet it wouldn't, the Nissan has a 5.6 liter V8 in the Titan and it makes 305 HP. The whole power vs displacement thing is stupid, cost vs performance is what maters in the real world.

those sseis are pretty fast man, I had a friend with a 94 ssei, with a smaller supercharger pulley and a k&n filter. He was able to keep up with my other friends 84 trans-am. Of course, the car was a 94, so it only goes uphill when you compare it to the newer ones. Plus they are pretty badass to ride in - they are very comfortable. The seats have like 400 different settings.

yeah but that's in a truck so they sacrifice hp for tq, which the titan makes 380 ft-lbs of. in a different application it would make more hp. kinda like the VQ35, in the 01 pathfinder it makes ~230hp and ~270tq but in the maxima it makes 265 hp and 250 tq.

Not to mention that Nissans 4.5L V8(Vk45) in the FX45 and M45 makes 345 hp, so a 5.0L making 380 isn't too far fetched.
