removing door lock actuator in 2000 windstar
The driver side door lock no longer locks or unlocks when using the remote or the control buttons. It weakened over time and needs replacement. I have the door skin removed but cannot figure out how to remove / replace the actuator itself.
If you have suggestions on an aftermarket actuator replacement, i would appreciate that too. The dealership wants $100 for what I assume should be a $20 part. Thanks. |

Re: removing door lock actuator in 2000 windstar
Thanks Gary. I have the old actuator out now, so i think I'll try and find a replacement versus installing a new style one in it's place. Worldpartsexpress sells it for $40US, if I can't find a better price I'll buy it. I'm located in Canada so even $40US plus shipping is going to be expensive.
Thanks for your help, Dave. |
