2002 sentra 1.8 drive belts
can anyone give me some ideas how to get the drive belts of a 1.8 engine? There's no auto-tensioners....do i need to remove a pulley?
Thanks! |

Re: 2002 sentra 1.8 drive belts
if theres no auto tensioner then theres a manual tensioner. 2 bolts, 1 goes thru a slide bracked, the other is at a 90 degree angle and is pretty long. loosen the bracket bolt a little then loosen the long bolt to adjust the tension

ok, I tried loosening the manual tension, but no matter how much I loosen it, the belt doesn't loosen...none of the pulley budge. Do i need to attack it with a prybar or something to get it to loosen? (Thanks for any help anyone can provide)>

Re: 2002 sentra 1.8 drive belts
is the side bracket bolt also go thru the alternator or something? you need to loosen the bottom bolt of the alternator(or whatever accessory its attached to) in order for it to swing.
