ABS Brake & Cruise Problem 94 Century

1994 Buic Century
My ABS brake light came on and my cruise contol quit working at the same time. I can see by the wiring diagram that both systems rely on the vehicle velocity sensor for input.
Two Questions
1. Where can I find the vehicle velocity sensor on my car?
2. How do I test it?
This sensor is an expensive little part and don't want to take a chance that it's not the problem. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Actron makes an OBD1 tester for gm vehicles. This tester also tests the ABS system. They run about 30-35 dollars. Get you heading in the right direction.
