Water pump replacement?

I have a 98 honda accord 4 cylinder. The coolant is leaked at lacation of water pump's gasket area and the pipe.

For the gasket replacement, the water pump needs to remove? If so, the timing belt needs to remove too?

Thanks for help,

Re: Water pump replacement?

I think the water pump is behind the timing belt cover and is driven by the timing belt. So ya, everything needs to come off and you should change the belt is you are in there and are getting close to the magic 90-105 K mark.
