Re: SS/SC update: Damn people are stupid.

They ordered a new long block for the car and are planning to install it. I however don't want them to bother. As a couple of you have stated, the value of the car is completely diminished. I've spoken with my buddy that is a manager for the parts division at a Cadilac dealership and he told me to demand a new car as his dealership has forked over brand new cars in similar situations. I will settle for nothing less.

Damn those owls, they never get old..heh.

glad ur okay though
It's a $3800 scratch to begin with. Now it's the origional $3800 plus $8000 or so. Give or take a hundred or two.

Re: SS/SC update: Damn people are stupid.

Wow, that's bad luck. I work at a dealership, and can account to the fact that there are idiots out there that just get handed keys, no questions asked. I've got my share of stories. Anyway, definantly demand a new car, settle for nothing less. Just keep going higher and higher up the food chain until you piss off the wrong person.

Just last week, somebody left a razor blade in a Caddy they were working on. A woman sat on it, cut herself, and to prevent her from sueing, she was given the 60k Caddy for free.

What I'm saying is, don't settle for less and good luck.

Re: SS/SC update: Damn people are stupid.

I've been dealing with GM corporate about the issue. It would seem that corporate is getting just as much hassle from the dealership as I am. GM is getting pissed as well. I think this is a good thing.

Doubt it...

I had to deal with a coupla dealerships at work today, with bad customer service situations, and in the letters sent in by the po'd customers, they said that the corprate offices were getting mad as well and what not. When we saw what the corporate offices were REALLY saying, in conjunction with the dealerships...yeah, they were doing a good job at feeding the customer BS. To bad your in Arizona, or we may have been working on your case.

Re: SS/SC update: Damn people are stupid.

....haha...that is like a guy who i was going to buy an old buick with aluminum heads from as a beater for Audio Compeition...it had a blown head gasket, the heads where aluminum...the car was blue booked at $400...conversation went like this..

Me:The blue book is $400 w/o the head gasket problem, ill give you $250 for it on acount of the blown gasket
Him: 250? you can get it fixed for 20 bucks if yo udo it yoruself, how about $350
Me: Im at least going to have to ge the heads decked and replace the gaskets, worst comes to worst the heads are warped and i will have to go grab a set form the junk yard
Him: decked?
Me: Ya, ya know machined, they are scorched, they are aluminum.
Him: its had a blown head gasket for about 3 months now and ive been driving it, ive had no problems
Me: :walks away knowing that i would be in the hole if i had to fix the POS when the coolant was 3/4 empty...:

you would think some of these people would have taken HS automechanics at least...

new car or nothing else...that is the deal...
