Problems shifting gears...
I recently cleaned my carb off my 73 Nova, but I doubt that has nothing to do so unless some wire got disconnect. After doing so I've been having problems with shifting into drive/L1/L2. A light above my radio comes on followed by a loud buzzing sound, sounds like when you have the key in the ignition (off position) while the door is opened.
The thing is that I don't know what that light means, because there is nothing in the slot where the light is, like no red transparent paper/thingy. This is what I'm talking about, the image is off ebay. http://i7.ebayimg.com/01/i/04/cc/0b/07_1_b.JPG |

The light you have shown is the seat belt unfastened light and it has a buzzer that goes with it. As for your shifting problem, is it while your driving or sitting still? If your saying that it won't shift while driving, you might have disconnected the vacuum line going to your modulator on your transmission. This metal line is located by your distibutor at the back of the engine. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks I solved both of my problems. :P The metal line that goes to the transmission is connected by a rubber hose to the manifold and it had a pretty big gash underneath where I couldn't see it and as for the "seat belt warning light" I recently connect a connector that wasn't connected to the seat belt on the driver side, so I disconected it again.
Once again thank you!
