cylinder question

Just picked up a 454 for my vette. Tore it appart 1 bent pushrod heads are trashed, not the problem have other heads. On inspection only a very slight ridge but a few cylinders have some trace amounts of discolorization and oxyidation. Dont want to rebuild, want to keep the money down, wife already doesn't know why I keep messing with that old car. think the normal startup will smooth out the clyinders or is there some kind of aditive to put in oil.
