Question water problems

ok so i have water in #4 and #2 cylinders. the head isn't craked or the cylinders. headgasket is fine and the head shows no sign of cracks. How did the water get it? i'm perplexed. any suggestions on what it could be?

Re: water problems

water or coolant?

maybe it dripped from the passages in the head when you took the head off. it tends to do that.

it's coolant. i bought it from a guy for $500, he said the engine stopped working. wasnt sure why. so i bought it, put a starter in it and it cranked over but wasnt starting, checked for spark, and coolant was spitting out of the. so i took off the head and 4 and 2 cylinders had coolant in them. checked out everything and now im confused at what the real problem is.

Re: water problems

probably take it to a shop
the level of the block and the head have to be very accurate and it only has to be warped VERY slightly to be out of spec

Re: water problems

there really arent any head swaps you can do with nissans. to get a valve job and new exhaust valves on my head cost me like 250 but a resurface may be somewhat less than that, not sure
just take the head in and have them tell you whats wrong with it before you do anything else
