99 camry keyless programming hell
Hello Wisemen & Women out there,
My factory remote just died so I bought a used second one with matching fcc id and I tried to program it following these instructions. I opened up the mirror control switch to short Black/White (GND Pin 10) and Violet (PRG Pin 2) pins; but to my amazement there is no wire in Pin 2. In fact there is no Violet wire at all. Cars manual says it is equipped with Keyless entry system and I had a keyless entry. Can anybody help me figure out what is going on? Thanks a lot in advance. I see someone else had the same problem but he wasn't answered. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=360771 Perhaps I can jumper where those wire go to? |

Re: 99 camry keyless programming hell
Try this (from the FAQ thread):
Remove key from switch Disconnect electrical connector from door mirror adjustment switch Jump pins 2&10 in connector Door locks will cycle Press a button on remote Door locks will cycle If you have another remote, press any button on it door locks will cycle Remove jumper Entering programming mode erases all previously programmed remotes A maximum of 2 remotes can be programmed to a car.
